  • All natural, hypo-allergenic shampoos specifically designed for and PH adjusted for animals. We do NOT use products designed for humans! We employ a wide range of shampoos for specific conditions, such as oatmeal and hypoallergenic shampoos for dry or sensitive skin, and milder, tearless shampoo for use on the face and around the eyes.
  • We use forced-air (no heat) dryers. This eliminates the possibility of burns and dehydration of the skin and coat and provides the added bonus of fluffing the coat to look it's fullest. We also have kennel dryers for older, recovering, or more anxious pets to minimize unnecessary stress.
  • Nails clipped
  • Paws trimmed (excess hair in between pads trimmed for comfort and cleanliness)
  • Ears cleaned (hair removed, canals wiped clean)
  • Anal glands expressed
  • Cologne
  • Coat conditioner
  • Bandana & bows

Grooming

Many owners arrive already knowing exactly what "style" they want for their pet. Some breeds are famous for their specific cut and style, while many owners prefer a more utilitarian cut for easier maintenance and cleanliness. If you don't know what kind of style would best suit your pet, bring him or her in with you and Amanda can go over your options and suggest the best cut.

Grooming is recommended for various reasons beyond that of just simply making your pet look better. Seasonal conditions commonly affect our pets' coats in various ways, such as in the early spring when warmer weather causes some breeds to "blow" their thicker winter coats (usually all over the couch), while in fall and winter the coat may become matted quicker or develop odor from the damper environment and thicker fur. Furthermore, experts recommend having your pets groomed regularly because during the process, many diseases or ailments are found that may have otherwise gone un-noticed, such as parasitic infestation (fleas, ticks, ear mites), fungal infections such as Ringworm (Tinea corporis), and other miscellaneous injuries. These conditions are difficult to detect through our pets' thick fur, but after a bath while drying, the air from the dryer parts the fur allowing us to get a good look under the coat.
